About A-Glaze
AGlaze makes protective sealant coatings that guard surfaces against damage from the sun, the sea and other harsh environments. The company started almost thirty years ago as Auto Chemical Holdings in Norfolk, took the name of its flagship aviation product after British Airways became its first major airline customer in 1998, and moved to Sittingbourne, Kent, in 2018.
AGlaze came to the marine world around 25 years ago to protect painted and gelcoat surfaces from sun and salt water. Trials in Florida with gelcoat maker Scott Bader showed it greatly reduced UV damage, fading and chalking. It protects paint, gelcoat, glass, polycarbonate and stainless steel, and is also used on aircraft and cars.
